When time is not a friend

When it comes to running a business the one thing that becomes an issue is time. There is simply not enough time to get all the necessary things done plus work on art. As a business owner and having this issue its time to look for solutions to help combat this problem. As a new business owner the idea of hiring someone to help me is not ideal at the moment. So the next solution is perhaps apps and automation. As a business owner working smarter and not harder is the ideal goal in mind. So with that said lets explore what works and what doesn’t work.

Integration

The idea to integrate all platforms in some way is ideal. What’s not so ideal is the amount of time it takes to get them all linked. Needless to say its a must in a lot of ways. If looked at in the long run it will save a lot of time. In the short term, it’s not so fun and it takes away time that needs to be spent on producing a product.

Tip: Take a piece of paper, date it, write what you linked. Make notes of any extra passwords, usernames, ID numbers. These are very useful for later. By writing this information down this will ensure that you will have everything you need when you get up the next day to begin again on the business journey. Don’t forget to write this stuff down as you go because if the electricity or a computer freeze happens you won’t lose what you wrote down.

Automation

Automation is my a life saver. I can tell you that I am hooked but I have been picky of where I want to use it. For example, I will use it to schedule this post but I still want to be where the people are to talk to them. I don’t want them to ever feel that they are talking to a robot unless I am sleeping or I become so huge that it simply becomes impossible to answer to thousands of people at once.

These days its impossible to be without automation. Choosing to use automation will depend on what kind of business you have. It may not be ideal for your business.

Transfer

This comes to mind as some platforms will let you transfer stuff from one platform to another. For example, you may be reading this article here on this platform but may find it yet on another platform. In this case it would be a transfer from this sight and (in a nut shell copied) transfer to the next platform. Very cool and saves a ton of time of rewriting this post to but on another platform.

Schedule

Most platforms will allow one to create the projects and then schedule them when they need to go out for the world to see.

Tip: Creating projects that are specific for holidays and then schedule them ahead of time is ideal. This saves a ton of time and will be beneficial in the long run. Think of it this way, your cramming all your projects in a week or so as if your studying a college exam. I can tell you the work doesn’t stop at automation and transfers and other simple solutions. Oh no far from it! The work just gets bigger and more of it. But there again I’m still in the beginning stages and I’m really three years old. I can say that my learning hasn’t ended either.

Apps

There are apps galore to help make things a whole lot easier. But, it takes time to set them up. There are some apps that will give a bit a trouble as you work with them and then add other apps to make things go better for other areas. Be patient with your self and give your self permission to walk away for a little while. I say this because they can try one’s patients that you want to give it that prime evil scream. No joke! There are ones that tell you it will take 24hrs, to 48hrs to be fully ready for use.

Tip: Some apps require a password while others just simply need you to sign in with google. I prefer to use the first one only because if you want to use a particular app say a phone you don’t want the hassle of signing in with google. Don’t get me wrong it works perfectly but there are times when you just want to use the password. (Let’s say you forgot that you set it up with google services then its just another frustration trying to figure out the password). Not that I’m picking on google. I love google services. They offer so much in the way of helping me out.

For instance, Google has so many apps that I can’t even tell you all what they have. I can tell you that I use most of them. Some I use more often than others. Google Calendars, Google mailboxes, and other google stuff.

I can tell you that another app I use religiously is Canva. Canva has been a lifesaver as well. Canva can provide pretty texts to pretty pictures. They also provide bold texts to bold pictures. They are so mind blowing that I can’t even remember everything they do. They are worth checking out. I know now that they are not the only one that provides theses types of services but I can say that I’m sticking with them for now. If your wondering how I use Canva? Don’t fret! I will tell you. Let’s talk about this page as an example. If I want to insert a certain picture and I don’t have the right elements to create that picture. I could see if Canva can provide it for me with just a few clicks and not thousands of dollars spent to travel to get that one pic. When I’m done tweaking the pic in Canva i could add it to this post. Canva is also useful in other platforms.

There are apps that can make your life easier that are designed for business applications. For me, I use the free stuff first to get a handle on the app. When I get to the point that I’ve used most everything and need more it’s probably time to purchase that upgrade. Sometimes purchasing the upgrade may mean you need that one thing the app offers. Everyone’s business is different so it’s not up to me to say what app will work well with your business. As time goes on I will periodically mention apps that work well for me.

Other note worthy apps is this one. Fairly new to me and worth checking out more. https://www.kqzyfj.com/jh115ox52x4KMLLQUOPROKMQLMOPPT I can tell you that I have worked with this product on the computer but mostly the free version.

I am always working with pdf’s and its something that will stay. However, when it comes time to hire a team it make quickly change to using these products more frequently. https://www.jdoqocy.com/88115wktqks7988DHBCEB79CDFFHH8 In the free version whether its this pdf platform or other’s there is only so much you are allowed to use. It may be that one would have to purchase a package just to get a project completed to many projects. Pdf’s are good way to send important documents. I can say that I feel more secure using them than sending documents directly thru an email.

Wanting to know more

It’s always ideal to get to know more when your in the learning phase of staring your business. Knowing where to turn and who to trust is not easy to find these days. Finding that one certain person that will tell you like how it is and what its going to take. To keep you on the straight and narrow. To have that trusted friend to root you forward to make sure you don’t quit on yourself. To make sure that your eating, dressed, exercise done for the day, chores are complete, to make sure you have your business to do list in tow. Consider submitting your email list below. Its free! If you don’t like it you can always opt out at the end of each email. How ever, if you do you will lose all access to the free stuff, business insights, craft projects, art projects, and so much more.
