Hello,
My journey began with You Tube. My You Tube channel is still in the beginning stages. My journey on You Tube has been amazing. I will admit that I have had to set it aside until I could figure out how to make a few of the other platforms work. It doesn’t take long to get confused as there’s a lot to learn and I’m not done yet. I have come to the conclusion that you can’t learn it all in a short amount of time. Plus, I have also figured out pretty early on that keeping notes on everything has to be organized in a way that I can find it easily enough. Another words, I’ve grouped things together by platform. Take it from me, that if you don’t organize your self from day one, your going to have trouble. Let me give you an example: I want to set up a donation button. Of coarse the button is something that I attempted before and forgotten why. So the first place I look for the information (you guessed it) my notes. Now let me give you a bit of insight. We are not talking a few notes in one binder. Nope! Two binders. I did find what I was looking for but it had no password on it, which is what I needed. So that meant I either needed to create one or update and so on. It turns out that the reason I didn’t have the password as it takes a two way verification. Meaning I needed to add a mobile phone. Hmmm, well this isn’t going to work at the moment as my home is way out in the boonies and literally no cell service.
To make a very long story short. Drive down to the Y (Cell service begins) will solve the issue. Hence, why I didn’t finish it in the first place. Now that I’m a lot further along than the last time I posted I’m able to just get the it done. I will also admit, I’m still in the beginning stages of planning stuff out. I am thinking that possibly I’m taking on a little tooo much at once here. So now is the time for me to step back and re-evaluate where I’m at. See where I’m at and where I’m going. I don’t want to get so far out there that I begin to suffer burn out. But I also don’t want to find myself too bored either. There is a certain element that makes one think that this is just gonna be a breeze. It doesn’t take long before one realizes that this is turning out way more complicated than what that exciting person said it was going to be like. Don’t get me wrong. This whole process has been extremely exciting and I’m not about to quit. I will say that I don’t stop asking myself why am I putting myself thru all of this frustration. Let me explain better. One is given the perception that all you have to do is start a blog web page and get paid. When in truth there is more to it than that. For instance, in this state, you have to have a business name registration if you don’t use your own name. If you are offering services or products there’s more legal stuff to consider if you are taking funds for such services and products. Then there’s legal stuff just for the consumer that one business owner has to understand (for online businesses). My head at times feels like its going to explode from reading all legal stuff for the last two weeks. I really don’t even want to mention all the fee’s. It’s insane the amount of fee’s that goes into just trying to start an online business. I want to point out right now that there are areas of running a online business I wish not to understand. I’m more than happy to let an person or entity take care of it. I guess the reason the prices bug me as I yet don’t understand the complexity of their services. However, it does make one question if starting an online business is worth the out come. I mean am I really going to ever get to point B and make X amount of dollars.
I did do a bit of research and it was just by shear accident that my own question was answered. Let’s just say I was a bit surprised by the amount of income that could be made by what one portion of what I’m doing could be made. So If I keep that carrot dangling in front of me maybe I’ll look back and see that it was worth the headache it took to get here. If you wonder your self just type in professional card designer in your search bar. $$$. I do want to point out that I have more than one type of platform going. Yes I couldn’t just stick to one platform. I had to have at least four to five. So that means four to five platforms of notes and other complex issues to keep track of.
I do recommend if your starting out, stick to one platform. Learn everything there is about that platform before starting another platform. Oh, I haven’t totally given up on You Tube as its my happy spot. When I get to where I’m planning out what I need to work on way in advance then I’ll get back to You tube. You tube also requires the same attention but it also requires a bit more time than writing out a blog page. If you wish to know more about my journey stick around for current posts. I’m all to happy to share what I have learned.
