To do lists

We couldn’t help ourselves creating this fun to do list using Canva. This fun program has given us tremendous amount of encouragement to achieve higher goals and we simply can not go without them. They have created more tools to accomplish more than we can ever dream of so by celebrating Oct 30 as #checklistday we also celebrate #canva for this very purpose.

Our Holiday Plans

We will be celebrating this Halloween with using our to do list to ensure that we get the celebration off to a good start by adding our own wants and needs. Checking off each of the green boxes to help ensure we complete each task.

Larger to do projects

To make sure that we get those larger projects done. We can break them done into smaller projects. Setting ourselves up to get each task completed.

After all decorating a house with goblins, ghosts, bats and more can be an overwhelming task.

The most important part of the list should be getting all those amazing candies in the right kind of candy container.

We also want to make sure that there is plenty of light for all the participants. After all we wouldn’t want to scare the living daylights out of everyone.

What about food? We look forward to some delicious 😋 food for the big day and we can’t go without Carmel covered apples or even bobbing apples in cider.

We wish you all a ghostly Holiday. Thankyou for reading and being a part of our Colorful Dimensional 2 Arts family!

Major Life Changes

Here at Colorful Dimensions 2 Arts some things have become a major of importance and so the business had to be set aside for a little while. As we progressed into setting things up and making arrangements for our family member. It became apparent that the business could also be attended to but rather in smaller increments and strategically planned around the necessary needs of a family member. Providing that everything goes as planned.

Unexpected Adventure’s

Project Using Scrap Wood

Creative ideas come when you least expect them. From a few magazines to hundreds of ads in the email box. Some will be good and some not so good. But when do we find the time to do them all? This is the question we all face as crafters. The next question is do I have the supplies? Supplies do play a major factor into whether or not we work a particular project. It may be that we are just a few supplies short or need a lot or even have it all. In either case, we need to begin some form of planning to get to the end result.

Do It For The Love Of Horses

My love for horses began when I was a child. I dreamed of one day owning my own horse. That reality never came to pass but my love for horses has never diminished. I still try to capture these amazing animals on paper or in photographs. See the illustration below the disclaimer.

Reflection on the business of crafting

It’s been awhile since I posted last. I took some time to reflect on what I want the most. Over the past month I had to do some tracing and research to figure out if I’m doing something wrong or if I was doing something right. Im sure that every blogger, Instagramer, tweeter, and business owner can relate. Taking time to reflect on what’s working and not working is not only beneficial to ones inner being but to ones business as whole. I’m sorry to my peeps that have missed me so and wondered where I’ve been. I haven’t been very far away. One could find me on Facebook, Twitter or even on Instagram. Needless to say I have been working my tail off to bring some cards and art to the table.

Sympathy Needed

This month I have taken some time off. Its not been easy to get back into the swing of things after some family members passed away. About all I can do is tackle one project at a time from business to home life. The last things on my ta do list is talk about any ones passing much less have cards on hand for this event. Sympathy cards is not one of my favorite must haves. I have been putting this subject off for a very long time (years). Between last month (June) and this month (July) I’ve managed to make a small handful. But the thought of having just a few isn’t exactly enough. I feel that I need to make more. For a Sympathy Cards the ones I do have turned out fabulous. Before I even began I did do a bit of research, mostly on You Tube. I gathered inspiration and I found myself grabbing supplies. Most of the You tube videos I didn’t even bother to watch. Pictures is all I needed. The first set of cards, I began with the flowers. Theirs was all white, but I chose to go black and white. Once I had the flowers done. The mats and card base became the next steps. I had this one die that I hadn’t even used as it was fairly new. Plopped it down on my first mat and ran it thru the Cuttle Bug. The result was surprising.. Fancy cut.. Anyway, see below for the finished product.

Finding 2022 Resolutions

Do you have trouble thinking of your new years resolutions? Do you already have them planned out? I have spent a few days reflecting on what I would like to do. I can say that I’m eager to get started but in small planned out steps. By breaking them down into small steps and schedule a small amount of time for them each day will help insure that the job will either get done or continue on depending what it is. For example, I would like to make a list of prompts to help with art ideas. How many of you journal? I never had journaled. This year I would like to change that and start one.

Worthy Card Collections

My first introduction to greeting cards started when I was born. My parents kept these cards from gifts they received and added them to a baby book. This is not an unusual custom but its worthy of making a statement about it. Family over the years sent cards of all sizes depicting the season or holidays while some were kept and others lost with time.

Craft Supplies, tools and Craft Room what’s liked and disliked

Do you have favorite craft supplies or tool(s) or thing(s) in your craft room? Do you have a favorite space in your craft room or what do you like the most about your craft room? What do you have craft supplies or tool(s) that you dislike and why? Do you have a section of your craft room that you dislike the most? If there was anything about your craft room or space that you disliked how would you change it?

Let’s dive in and try to answer some of these questions. I’m sure many of you have often wondered about these questions from some of your favorite crafters and those you read online. I will admit I’ve wondered some of these questions myself. So lets take a look at the questions individually.

Question #1. Do you have favorite craft supplies or tools?

My most favorite tools are my pencils, pens, and colored pencils. I can achieve a lot with them. My most favorite craft supplies are my white card stock. I can place nearly any thing I want to achieve on white card stock.

Question #2. Do you have a favorite space in your craft room or what do you like the most about your craft room?

My most favorite space in my craft room is my desk. My desk is an old vintage desk and my husband brought it home. He had intended to use it for himself but the wife adopted it from day one. (Wife Rules! lol) What I like the most about my craft room is the window. I can see everything I need to from that window. It gives me a wonderful view of tree’s and everyone who passes by.

Question #3. Do you have craft supplies or tools that you dislike and why?

I can honestly say yes. Craft Supplies that are so old that they no longer work. I have tools that are hard to use and some are so old that they have broken. They will soon beheading to the garbage been. I mean they are so far gone that they can’t be repaired or reused in some other form.

Question #4. Do you have a section of your craft room you dislike the most?

My current craft room has been a wonderful area to work in when I first started out my journey. As I grew so did my supplies and tools. I have visualized that soon I will need to find more space for more tools and supplies. With that in mind my craft room now has become too small. So I guess I could say I dislike the fact that my craft room has become too small for my needs.

Question #5. If there’s anything about your craft room or space that you disliked how would you change it?

Yes. Let me explain why! My craft room is not a normal Square. Its more like crossing two sticks together. That’s my craft room. Its not very wide and its not very long. My hopes that in a few years that I will have a much bigger room to have as a craft room.
