Unexpected Adventure’s

Sympathy Needed

This month I have taken some time off. Its not been easy to get back into the swing of things after some family members passed away. About all I can do is tackle one project at a time from business to home life. The last things on my ta do list is talk about any ones passing much less have cards on hand for this event. Sympathy cards is not one of my favorite must haves. I have been putting this subject off for a very long time (years). Between last month (June) and this month (July) I’ve managed to make a small handful. But the thought of having just a few isn’t exactly enough. I feel that I need to make more. For a Sympathy Cards the ones I do have turned out fabulous. Before I even began I did do a bit of research, mostly on You Tube. I gathered inspiration and I found myself grabbing supplies. Most of the You tube videos I didn’t even bother to watch. Pictures is all I needed. The first set of cards, I began with the flowers. Theirs was all white, but I chose to go black and white. Once I had the flowers done. The mats and card base became the next steps. I had this one die that I hadn’t even used as it was fairly new. Plopped it down on my first mat and ran it thru the Cuttle Bug. The result was surprising.. Fancy cut.. Anyway, see below for the finished product.

Rainy Day Crafts

I’m happily crafting in my craft room on a rainy windy day. This is a work in progress. It’s nearly quit’n time and I’ll have to finish this tomorrow.

Update: 5/20/2021

This beautiful Card did get completed. The geese are 3-D. Geese are stamped with a wooden stamp block (company unknown). The lace trim was from a lacy frame that was cut with a die. The lace trim was painted with Wink of Stella. The Egg was cut out with a Egg shaped die. Back ground is water based acrylic. Flowers are 3-D. Made with water color paper in Tim Holtz ink, using his technique. Flowers are cut out with flower dies. Card base is made with 90lb. white Card stock purchased from Walmart. The centers of the flowers were completed and gems were set.

I can see that it would have been better for me to use a photo of the project that was actually completed. (the only reason was to show that the project was completed for the most part and secondly, that I figured out how to add a photo to the post.)

Valentine

Be my Valentine is one of the phrases used for Valentine Cards. Valentine Cards are vary and are relatively easy to make. Here in this link to a post on Facebook showing my make of a slim line Valentine Card with a see thru window shaker. Bright pink, purple, and white cardstock. Nice and sparkling. This was a wonderful craft project for any crafter to make. Using a heart shape die to cut the heart shape window to a much larger heart shape die to cut the background and window pieces. Be sure to stamp the background piece ahead of time. Using thin pieces of double sided foam strips to make the shaker part. Filled with pink glitter. This Fabulous Card is sure to warm anybody’s heart. Its a must see and what a wonderful keepsake for years to come. A another post you may be interested in 14th of February
